Navy College Program for Afloat College Education (NCPACE) Eligibility

Who is eligible to participate in the Navy College Program for Afloat College Education (NCPACE)? What are the requirements?

In order to be eligible for Navy College Program for Afloat College Education (NCPACE), you must be assigned to a U.S. naval vessel or command with a unit identification code (UIC) sea duty type code of 2 or 4. Only U.S. naval personnel permanently assigned to those commands, including U.S. Marine Corps (USMC) personnel assigned as ship's company, are eligible to participate in NCPACE. Naval personnel, to include embarked Marines, on temporary assignment to the command may be eligible to participate as long as they have sufficient time to complete course work while assigned to the command.

The Navy has waived NCPACE program eligibility requirements for Active Duty Individual Augmentee (IA) Sailors stationed outside the contiguous United States. To participate in NCPACE , IA Sailors must have orders reflecting IA status and be serving a tour as an IA for the duration of the course term.

For complete NCPACE eligibility, review the NCPACE section of the website.
