Can a Military owner’s relative sign registration documents?
A vehicle being registered to an owner who is in the U.S. Armed Forces may be signed by the owner’s spouse or other close relative, provided the following conditions are met:
- The individual’s signature is countersigned by the relative and the relationship to the individual must be indicated. Example: Elizabeth Blake by John Blake, Husband.
- The application is marked “Owner Member of Armed Forces”
