What fees are due on a sale to Federally-Recognized Indian Tribes?

None. All registration fees will be waived for vehicles exclusively used within the boundaries and jurisdiction of the Federally-Recognized Indian Tribes.

A REG 256A, and a letter written on tribal letterhead and signed by an authorized tribal council member, that identifies the vehicle and states the vehicle is owned by, and registered in, the tribal name and will be used exclusively within the boundaries of the tribal land, are needed.
