The dealer must submit a letter of attestation on company letterhead to VITU with the following deal information:

| Total tax paid |
Also, a statement similar to: “I attest that sales tax was paid to the state of California in the amount of $XXX” should be included along with any proof of payment. The header for the document should read: “Letter of attestation: Proof of Sales Tax Paid”.
This letter should be submitted during the pre-audit phase.
