D056 LST TRF/ACQSTN/1ST OPER/FEE DUE/LOSS/WRECK DT CAN'T
Why do I receive D056 Error?
For Non Rollback
If the expiration is current, remove the date fees posted. If the registration has expired this would need to go into the SPU, we are unable to waive penalties through DMVdesk.
The deal must go to the SPU team, please create a work order by clicking on the "Send to SPU" button shown within the deal. Please allow 5 days for processing.
If they would still like to efile and the registration is expired, the system will generate the penalties. You can submit an ADM399 (Application for Refund) along with proof that you posted the fees on time.
For new to used rollback the D056 may occur due to the following:
Verify that the last transfer date, acquisition date, date of first operation, or loss/wreck date is not greater than the date the fee was received.
This error message is most commonly seen on unwinds. If this is a New or Nonresident unwind, it can occur when the 1st buyer's date of sale is entered instead of the current buyer’s date of sale.
If this is a Used unwind, you will need to change the dates from the Current Buyers Date of Sale, to the 1s buyer’s sale date.
For used to used rollback the D056 may occur due to the following
The Transaction Type for a Used Car Unwind is Used Resubmit. Since this is an Unwind and fees were previously posted, the Prior RDF box should be selected.
For non-resident rollback the D056 may occur due to the following
The Transaction Type for a Non-Resident Unwind is Non-Resident Resubmit. Since this is an Unwind and fees were previously posted, the Prior RDF box should be selected. Please set the Date Fees Due to the date of sale.
