If the registration of a dealer’s loaner car expires while in dealer inventory do we still have to renew?
If a loaner car is being driven and used on California highways, it must be registered just like any other vehicle that is being driven on California highways.
However, if it is no longer being used for loaners and is now part of the dealer's inventory, this can be demonstrated by submitting a Reg 262 form or a statement of facts explaining the date it went into inventory.
