Calculating Fees for NRM on Online Utilities

If you need to calculate the fees for an NRM (Non-Resident Military) vehicle, you can easily do so by using the fee calculator on Online Utilities. Follow these steps to ensure accurate results:

Step 1: Accessing the Fee Calculator

Go to Online Utilities and locate the fee calculator tool.

Step 2: Selecting Exemptions

Make sure to check the box for Indian Reservation (REG 256A) under exemptions before calculating the fees. This will provide you with precise results based on your specific situation.

Note Regarding Posting Fees

It is important to note that you cannot post a fee for an NRM without including the NRM itself in it. The BPA programming does not currently exclude the TIF fee from calculations. However, if it is a used card and not in renewal, you may be able to post the transfer fee instead.

Clearance Process

After determining and posting any applicable fees, submit the transaction to SPU (Service Processing Unit) to be cleared as an NRM. Once approved, you will receive an HQ refund accordingly.

In cases of gifting or family transfers involving an NRM vehicle, please keep in mind that the individual receiving the gift or transfer would be responsible for any associated fees or processes involved.
