• Weight Certificate: Obtain a weight certificate for the vehicle being purchased.
• REG590 Form: Ensure that the REG590 form is signed by the customer.
• VIN Verification: If the current registration may be auto-compliant (such as 4D or SD), you will need VIN verification. The verifier must indicate that it is Commercial and specify an acceptable body type model, like VA.

Submitting Documents

Once you have gathered all required documents, submit them to the Special Processing Unit (SPU). It is essential that all paperwork clearly indicates Commercial use along with an appropriate body type model for successful processing of converting registration from auto to commercial.

The Transfer of Car Purchase Documentation
