Resolving Electronic Signature Failure Issues
how can we fix electronic signatures showing failed?
How to Fix Failed Electronic Signatures
If you're encountering issues with electronic signatures showing as failed, follow these steps to resolve the problem effectively.
Step 1: Check Digital Signature Status
The first step is to check the status of digital signatures in your system. Navigate to the desking or digital signature page and search using the last six digits of the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN).
- If any signatures display an expired status, you must undo that expiration before proceeding.
Step 2: Revert Expiration Status
Once you have identified any expired signatures, look for options such as "Void" next to those signatures. If this option is available:
- Click on "Void" so that those signatures can be processed correctly again.
Troubleshooting Options
If you cannot find the void option or continue experiencing issues:
- You may need assistance from someone with administrative access or support staff who are familiar with managing digital signature settings.
Resending Electronic Signatures
If a Signature Fails Within 48 Hours:
An electronic signature can be resent if it fails within the designated time frame. To resend:
- Please provide me with the VIN so I can undo its expiration for you.
If More Than 48 Hours Have Passed:
If your electronic signature has failed after 48 hours:
- Navigating back to your desking tab and locate the deal associated with that VIN.
- Select "undo expire" in order to send it again. Ensure that you click on "sign" before resending; this will guarantee successful email transmission of the request.
