Address Discrepancies

If you notice that the apartment number is missing on form 262, you can handwrite it in as long as you do so carefully without crossing out or erasing any information. Keep in mind that any discrepancies will lead to an audit based on the ROS, making it beneficial for both documents to align.

Submission Requirements

Please note that copies of the ROS and form 262 cannot be submitted; original documents are required. If needed, you can request a reprint of the report of sale through your logbook. Nevertheless, you'll still need the original form 262 for odometer readings and Power of Attorney (POA) signatures.

If necessary, a Registration Statement (RS) may be created at a DMV desk as an alternative submission but remember that the original form 262 remains essential.

Digital Signatures

Authenticity Certificates
